Gathering tools in Anvil Empires

Choose a tool for the material you need, then check its recipe before travelling. A Flint Knife, Stone Axe and Flint Pickaxe serve different gathering jobs. Bring the tool for your intended source instead of filling the inventory with every tier.

Tools and supplies can be moved between the player inventory and a storage chest.

Choose the tool family

Prepare the components before the final tool

An Iron Pickaxe needs a Wood Blank, Fibre and an Iron Axe Blade. Preparing several pickaxes also means arranging the recipes for those components. A Wood Blank consumes Wood Planks, while an Iron Axe Blade needs Iron Ingot. Bring the ingredients for that chain rather than arriving with only the final assembly list.

The three-pickaxe example needs three Wood Planks. Its plank recipe produces four, leaving one spare.

Choose a recipe for the materials you have

The Town Workshop offers different log recipes for Wood Planks. Choose the log you can supply before committing to a gathering trip. That choice changes the raw-material list throughout the plan; you do not need to rewrite each later step. Station names remain linked so you can check where the work happens.

The planner keeps each Town Workshop log recipe as a separate choice, with its ingredients visible.

Keep fuel and the materials for building stations separate from the recipe ingredients. Processing time does not include travel or waiting for a station. For a simple tool such as a Flint Knife, prepare its direct ingredients instead of committing to the iron-production chain.
